Richard B. Alm

Richard B. Alm, 90, of Boxford, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by the love of his wife and children on February 15, 2024. Richard was born in Boston to the late Helgi and Ida (Benson) Alm. Mr. Alm was a longtime Building Inspector for Concord, MA before becoming a Civil Engineer for the State of Massachusetts, a position he held until his retirement in 1998.

Richard was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish, however his greatest passion was to travel with his wife in their Air Stream. He loved all animals and donated generously to the MSPCA.

Richard is the beloved husband of Jeanette C. (Grubb) Alm of Boxford and the loving father of Erik D. Alm of Ipswich and Michelle L. Richard and her husband Thomas of Chocorua, NH. Richard was the cherished grandfather of Lisa Meyer, Heather DiGiustino and Scott DiGiustino and their children, Betty, Jeanette, Emmet, Greyson and Marilynn.
